Worldwide Fleet Adding Seats, Distance

Special Feature: Farnborough Airshow 2018

Based on scheduled flight data, average seats per departure for the worldwide fleet has increased 20.0 percent since 2008 to an average of 144 seats. Similarly, the average stage length is now 863 miles, up 15.5 percent over 2008. The increases have been relatively steady over the period with seats increasing 9.1 percent and stage length increasing 6.8 percent over the past five years.
