World Aircraft Fleet to Grow More Than 20% By 2020

Global Fleet Forecast - 2015 to 2025





The global commercial air transport fleet currently stands at nearly 24,000 aircraft. That number is expected to grow 3.9 percent annually between 2015 and 2020 to 29,003 aircraft. Growth is expected to slow to 3.5 percent per year during the second five-year period, to bring the total number of in-service aircraft up to 34,408 by 2025.

During the next decade betterinsight predicts the global fleet will grow on average 3.7 percent annually. The passenger fleet is expected to grow 3.8 percent annually and the cargo fleet 2.3 percent annually.
