Demand for US Air Travel Up 4.7% YoY in August 2015

US Carriers Monthly Traffic - August 2015


 

 

Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) increased by 4.7 percent for US airlines in August 2015 compared with August 2014. The value carriers group reported a 9.0 percent increase in RPMs. Network carriers grew by 4.2 percent in August, significantly greater than earlier in the year (2.6 percent year-to-date). Combined, US airlines had an impressive 86.5 percent load factor.
